Lot 12 still copy
A massive thank you to all our buyers and underbidders after a terrific in-calf female sale!
We enjoyed a full clearance of 147/147 at a $3,000 average across the board. It was great to see such an expression of confidence in the beef industry through the medium term.
23 cattle were sold for transfer to other studs.
Top price in the R2 heifers was $5,200 paid by Mackenzie Brown of Otautau for lot 12 (pictured).
The top price R3yr animal was $4,300 paid by Finnis Farm Angus of Stratford.
The top 10-year-old cow, lot 121, was purchased by Kyle Caires of Hawaii USA, who also purchased lot 122. Kyle plans to put these cows into an embryo transfer programme to be exported to the US.
Lot 121 is a particularly special cow to us M410 - she has been a top cow right through her career at Meadowslea and is the mother of Meadowslea Thunderstorm U359, sold at top price in our 2025 bull sale to Delmont Angus.
The online and onfarm Helmsman sale through the Yourbid platform performed very well for us. With only 14 lots purchased by on-farm buyers the remainder went to remote bidders the length and breadth of the country - and around the world!
