Welcome to our 2011 Winter Bull Sale
Friday 24th June 2011 at 1pm

We are pleased to be able to offer a very even line of bulls that carry many of the traits we know are so important in the hill country:

90% of the bulls in the sale have positive figures for Rib and Rump fats (and probably average higher than any other stud in NZ).

Our Scrotal Size average EBV is in the top 20% for the breed - this means the bulls daughters are more likely to reach puberty early and calve early every year.

Our Mature Cow weight average for the bulls on offer is almost 15% lower than the breed average - this is desirable for efficient cows and reducing herd feed intake. These important maternal traits show us we have an easy keeping medium framed cow herd with good fertility for the hill country.

Our young genetics continue to impress with 40% of the bulls on offer sired by our yearling bulls or out of our 2yr heifers.

We continue to use strong NZ bloodlines that are proven to last in our environment and currently have 8 herd sires ranging up to 9 years old.

We have again this year ranked all our bulls on our High Country Index (explained later).

The aim is to help you, our clients, target bulls specifically for the high Country environment. We know the harsh climatic conditions your cows run under will differ considerably from the average of the Australasian Angus herds recorded on breedplan!

We look forward to seeing you at Meadowslea on the 24th and wish you well with your purchases. As always we stand behind our bulls 100%
